The lowest tier with angled Ascension shutters has niche interior dimensions of: 12"W x 16"H x 27"D. These Ascension niches have the capacity for three standard size urns and the shutters are large enough to accommodate three engraved inscriptions.

The upper standard size niches are 12" W x 12"H x 16"D and have the capacity for two standard up-right size urns. Generously-sized, 16" deep niches ensure ample room to accommodate most urns.

Each niche is outfitted with a concealed, secure aluminum door with a keyed lock. The locks are keyed with a master key held securely by two licensed Chapel Hill funeral operators who shall assure that only authorized persons shall be allowed access and only the operators shall perform opening and closings by appointment. The funeral operator official shall assure that the requesting person is the rightful owner or an authorized representative. A ledger of openings and closings shall be kept in the operator safe.

Each niche shall be protected from all perils with a granite shutter held in place by four bronze* colored rosettes requiring a special shaped wrench to remove and install the rosettes and remove/install the shutter in front of the key-locked door. The granite shutter shall be engraved with the interred's full name, date of birth and date of death. The engravings shall be of a uniform font and size and no paint or coloring shall be applied thereon. Flowers may be left at each end of the columbarium and shall be removed by funeral staff once a month. *Silver rosettes shall be utilized to identify the Servant leadership Niche Core - the middle tier of the collection.

A licensed fiduciary firm acceptable to the Town and OCHCM, LLC shall be retained and compensated from earnings flowing from the Perpetual Care Fund which shall be funded by $2000.00/niche contributions paid by OCHC, LLC following conveyance and recording of each fee simple deed.The fiduciary firm shall be responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and paying annual all peril insurance premiums as well as keeping a written ledger of each conveyance of all niches, The firm shall provide a copy of the ledger entries to the Parks and Recreation Department of the Town of Chapel Hill when asked for on a reasonable basis.
